Steve Blunt - Co-Founder

Melbourne, Australia

 

Steve has a breadth of geographic and functional career experience developed from working in the technology industry for over 25 years. His range of expertise includes sales & marketing, customer management, strategic partner development, business operations, service delivery and product management.

During his career, Steve has had first-hand experiences leading enterprise-wide business transformation programs, working with C-level executives on a full-time basis. From this, he knows the highs, lows, and challenges that entails. With this real-life and hands-on experience, Steve recognized Executive and Leadership Alignment as the critical ingredient for initiative success, leading him to publish “Executive Alignment - A Behavioral Perspective” with Michael Kenny, whom he had engaged as a strategic advisor between 2008 and 2010.

Steve and his wife now live in Melbourne, and together they have three adult children. He enjoys golf, cycling and walking his dogs on the beach.

Mike Hodgson - Partner

London, UK

 

Mike has over 30 years of experience working internationally in management consultancy and industry. His breadth and depth of knowledge of the Technology Media and Telecommunications sector in particular is well recognised through his years of work at KPMG, Unisys and Convergys, where he operated at Director and VP levels. Mike specialises in Operational Transformation, Change Management, Business Process Management, Market Strategy, Client-needs Analysis and Solution Development.

 

Mike has worked with C-level management and multi-disciplinary teams to establish and deliver complex transformation programmes in Australia and the UK.  Through these engagements, Mike has obtained broad experience and insights on strategies, delivery methodologies and leadership of these programmes across key stages of their design and implementation lifecycle.

 

Mike was educated in the UK. He has a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham and is a Chartered Accountant.  Mike recently enjoyed six years living in Melbourne and now lives in London with his wife Emma, and close to his young adult children.  He enjoys most sports, is an avid golfer, and loves time with family and travel.

Michael Kenny - Co-Founder

San Francisco, USA

 

Michael is known for solving complex business and technology problems during his 25+ years of management consulting experience with Accenture, Deloitte, and EDS. Michael is a former Partner in the Accenture Communications & High Tech, Systems Integration & Technology Practice, and the founding Partner of  Kenny & Company in 2010. 

 

He has planned and led large, complex initiatives at Fortune 500 companies, with C-Level and VP engagement. His breadth of experience includes Business and IT Strategy, Business Process Re-engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Systems Integration, Business Intelligence, and Supply Chain Strategy. 

 

With this broad experience, Michael recognized Leadership Alignment as the critical ingredient for initiative success, leading him to publish “Executive Alignment - A Behavioral Perspective” with Steve Blunt, a former client, in 2012. That led to Michael and Steve establishing AlignedAround in late 2020.

 

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and a Masters of Business Studies (Strategic Management & Planning) from University College Dublin, National University of Ireland. Michael has been published in Baseline Magazine and Computer Technology Review and is the author of several whitepapers and opinion pieces. Michael lives in San Francisco with his wife and three children. He is an avid reader, cyclist, skier, and fly-fisherman.

Maeve Byrne - Partner

London, UK

Maeve has over 30 years of experience as a senior executive in the global banking and financial services sector and as a partner in KPMG.  She is currently a Non-Executive Director for Alpha FMC, a UK AIM-listed consulting firm.

She started her career at KPMG Audit in Dublin and worked in other international offices, before moving to Transaction Services in San Francisco.  She was a Transaction Services Partner from 2002 to 2014,  supporting Financial Services/ Corporate clients and Private Equity.  

In 2014, Maeve joined Royal Bank of Scotland as CFO for the Non-Core division which was responsible for the exit of over £200bn of assets as the bank was restructured.  From 2017, as an independent consultant, Maeve supported several varied clients including Private Equity in assessing a potential Retail and Commercial bank acquisition, a large-scale banking technology transformation, and other Board level advisory work.

Maeve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
